Preface
Now, implant has become an indispensable part of treatment options in dental practices.
As of the end of 2006, the OSSTEM implant had the largest market share in Korea (36.4%) and was more competitive than global companies. From 2004 to 2006, the sales of implant products maintained an ultra-high growth rate, with an annual average of 56%. The anticipated average annual growth rate from 2006 to 2010 in Korea will be 14.7%, and the market share of the OSSTEM implant in Korea should increase continuously to 44% by 2010. The OSSTEM implant is an effective product, from a company with exemplary company leadership.
This book is designed to be easy to understand, and will provide important knowledge and information not only for beginners but also for dentists who require information on advanced approaches. I hope that this book facilitates general understanding of the introduction of the OSSTEM Implant, as well as associated clinical cases and research papers, and becomes a useful guideline for clinical techniques leading to better basic research and wider clinical use.
